At Bayliss Garages, we understand how disruptive a vehicle fault can be. Whether you’ve noticed something unusual, your vehicle has failed its MOT, a warning light has appeared, or it simply isn’t driving as it should, we’re happy to investigate.

We work on a wide range of vehicles and consider repairs of all sizes — from straightforward maintenance and servicing through to more involved mechanical repairs and fault-finding.

Our technicians spend much of their time diagnosing problems, carrying out repairs and keeping vehicles safely on the road. This can include suspension, brakes, steering, exhausts, engine and servicing work, as well as basic electrical fault-finding and repairs. Where appropriate, we can also carry out welding and other general garage work.

Diagnosis & Repairs

Not every vehicle arrives with an obvious problem, and sometimes finding the cause is the most important part of the job. We charge for both investigation/diagnostic work and any repairs carried out, so that we can properly assess the vehicle rather than simply replacing parts and hoping for the best.

If further work is required, we can provide an estimate for you to consider before proceeding. Our newer booking and estimate system also makes it easy to view estimates online using the link provided, giving you a clear record of the work we’ve recommended.

We don't advertise fixed repair prices because every vehicle and every fault is different. Instead, we assess the vehicle and provide an estimate based on the work actually required.

Do I need to make an appointment?

We strongly recommend booking in advance, as our available slots can fill up quickly, particularly at busy times of the year.
